Each Club has the freedom to create and adapt BGCA programs to meet the needs of their boys and girls.
Latino Outreach Initiative:
Boys & Girls Clubs help young Latinos succeed by offering programs that help them develop leadership abilities and decision-making skills. This program works with families and communities using word-of-mouth referrals and face-to-face contacts. The Latino Outreach Initiative is funded by The Goizueta Foundation, the Hispanic Scholarship Fund, the UPS Foundation, and Turner Broadcasting System, Inc.
Teens are not simply older children; they are young adults who require a strategic approach to development. Moreover, the needs of younger teens (13 to 15) differ from those of old older teens (16 to 18). The Teen Initiative provides program resources, grant funding, staff training, and technical assistance. This program is funded by the Taco Bell Foundation.
